Who´s right?

Does the media lean to the left, or right?

The answer you get probably depends on whom you ask. It is after all, a matter of perspective. There are a lot of people that believe that the media is controlled by money and/or that Rubert Murdoch has got his right wing hands on pretty much every little piece of media out there. Then again, a lot of people like to point out that that doesn´t matter because most of the people that work in the media tend to lean to the left.

There are however, two media outlet´s in Iceland that quite obviously (if you read them a little bit) favour the right wing perspective. Andriki is the more famous one (they usually line up with the liberterian viewpoint) and AMX is the other (they are more like a republican publication).

So if you feel like the media in Iceland is biased to the left, make sure you check them out.

  1. Ach...my post got deleted.
I was just wondering what these two outlets are responsible for publishing/producing. I have heard before that the structure of media in Iceland, particularly in relation to politicians, is fairly questionable. Was wondering what any of your thoughts were on this and if any good alternatives are cropping up on the internet here.

  2. I´m not sure the structure is questionable as I don´t know the differences between Iceland and other country´s are. As to those outlets, they just publish those two sites.
